Siebren. lived in Pella and Peoria area all their married life. They had seven children, one of whom died at the age of 33. Mr. De Vries died in 1944. Mrs. De Vries now has 26 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren. 108 great-grandchildren. 10 step-great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and four step great great grandchildren. Jacoba Stouwie was born Oct. 12, 1873. at Munnekezyl, Friesland, the Netherlands, the daughter of Jacob and Anje Edema Stouwie. She came to the United States with her family when she was 15 and settled near Pella. She married Siebren De Vries in Pella on Feb. 23, 1895. He died in l944. She was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church. Survivors include six children, Mrs. Gysbert (Minnie) Ryken Oskaloosa, Jacob of Pella, Mrs. Henry (Tena) Stursma, Pella, Wieba of Sioux Center, Conrad of Pella, and Mrs. Cecil (Dorothy) De Vries, Pella: 26 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. a daughter, Mrs. John (Anna) Voortman, her parents; two brothers, Koenraad and Miendert Stouwie, three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Services were at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, in the chapel of the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home, the Rev. Andrew Zylstra officiating. Burial was in the Peoria Cemetery.
