Description	:	Mrs. Jacoba Heusinkveld, nee Van Batavia, passed away Sunday, July 8 at the Sheldon Community hospital following a 5½ week illness and surgery due to cancer. Mrs. Heusinkveld was 60 vears 4 months and 7 days. Her husband preceeded her in death just one year ago. 5 Heusinkveld was born March 1, 1902, at Hull, Iowa the daughter of the late Bert Van Batavia and Dora Westra. They farmed near Hull and near Timber Lake, S.D. and at Boyden until they. retired and moved into Boyden into the present home. To this union one son, Henry G. Heusinkveld was born, who mourns his parents passing with his wife, Sandy, and children, Candace 15 years, Jeffery, 11 years and Michael, 8 years. Also surviving are two sisters and four brothers. (Maggie) Mrs. Francis De Graaf of Hull, (Johanna) Mrs. E. Sohl of Boyden, Peter Van Batavia of Osakis, Minn., Case Van Batavia of Hull, Lou B. Van Batavia of Boyden and Jake Van Batavia of Hull, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Heusinkveld was a loving mother and a dear friend to all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the Boyden First Reformed church ans Ladies Mission Society of the church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 272, and was a great community worker. She was a part time employe at Smit and Son packing Co in Boyden. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the First Reformed church in Boyden. Interment was was made at Hope Cemetery in Hull, Iowa. Rev. H.G. Schoon was in charge of the burial. Sioux County Capital 1962-07-19.
