Jacqueline graduated from Hinton High School in 1946 and Iowa State College in 1950 with a B.S. in Home Economics. Jacqueline was united in marriage with Raymond Dirksen on August 5, 1951 in Hinton, Iowa. Three Children were born to this union, Ila, Ray and Hal. They were later divorced. Jacqueline was united in marriage with Raymond Dirksen on August 5, 1951 in Hinton, Iowa. Three Children were born to this union, Ila, Ray and Hal. They were later divorced. Jacqueline was a teacher at the New Hampton High School, New Hampton, Iowa, she was a substitute teacher, worked in a fabric store and taught night classes for sewing and quilting for many years. She also sang in church and many community groups. Jacqueline enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, flower gardens and playing bridge. She belonged to a coffee group for over fifty years. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Jacqueline Rae Dirksen; a sister, Shirley Held; a brother, Eugene Held and a sister-in-law, Annette Held.
