She was surrounded by her loving family and fought until her last breath to enjoy her earthly family. She leaves behind precious memories that will live on through those fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. She will always be remembered as "one of a kind." Jackie was born on Sept. 9, 1935, the daughter of Leonard and Florida (Roy) Pelletier in Waterville, a place she would always call home. She was raised by her own amazing mother "Mem" with three other siblings. These family members included her older brother, Leonard Pelletier of Oakland, younger brother, Lomer Pelletier, and younger sister, Jeanne LaChance, both of Waterville. After completing her education at local schools, she was employed by several businesses lucky enough to have her on their payroll. Some of these workplaces included F.W. Woolworth Store, C.F. Hathaway Shirt Co., LaVerdiere's, Stanley Home Products and L.L. Bean.She fell in love and married her adoring husband, Leo on May 20, 1961. Her sister-in-law, Rose Mae Giguere became another member of the family. Together Jackie and Leo raised a happy family of their own. Their four daughters received an abundance of everything that mattered ... especially LOVE. Her four daughters and the men who have become a part of Jackie's extended family are as follows: Pamela and Sydney Mayhew, Diane Giguere and David Hall, all of Waterville, Donna Boudreau and Rick Damren of Belgrade, and Elaine and Jeff Breton of Waterville. The extraordinary grandchildren that filled Jackie's life with pride and joy include Zachary and Jacob Boudreau, Sarah Carey and husband Sean, Nathan Breton and Taijae Mayhew. She was also blessed by her first great-grandchild, Abigail Rose Carey. Along with her immediate family are countless nieces and nephews who benefited greatly from their dear Taunte Jackie. Family was everything to her. No sacrifice was too big and no task too challenging when it came to being there for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Her love took many forms and all of them are very cherished memories now; the card game marathons, enormous supply of homemade treats and a smile that could light up the darkest of moments. Jackie's passion to help others in any way possible extended beyond the family. She baked pies for church fundraisers, delivered meals to needy families, provided care for the elderly or ill, and the list just goes on and on.
