Jackie was born on June 16, 1927 on a farm in Saunders County to John and Nora (Booze) Keating. She was the youngest of three children. While attending Fremont High School, she volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol and worked at a factory painting artillery for the WWII effort before graduating in 1945. Read More	*************************************** Jacquelyn "Jackie" Mary (Keating) Kucera, 88, of Fremont, NE, died peacefully surrounded by family on January 6, 2016 at Fremont Health Medical Center. Jackie was born on June 16, 1927 on a farm in Saunders County to John and Nora (Booze) Keating. She was the youngest of three children. While attending Fremont High School, she volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol and worked at a factory painting artillery for the WWII effort before graduating in 1945. In her youth you could find her at the roller rink with friends and in 1948 she married Francis Kucera. They had four children and were married for 53 years. After retiring from PAG/Cargill in 1987, she volunteered at the YMCA. She loved working at the YMCA and was awarded Adult Volunteer of the Year in 2009 during her more than twenty years of service. Jackie was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Francis passed away August 27, 2001. She adored her friends and family and her greatest joy in her golden years was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was phenomenal at crossword puzzles and was a lifelong fan of the Brooklyn/LA Dodgers. Jackie is survived by four children, Pamela Floyd of Olympia, WA, James Kucera and Terri (Bill) Larson of Fremont, and Kenneth Kucera of Worland, WY; four grandchildren, Travis (Kandi) Floyd, Jedediah Floyd, Eric (Bridget) Larson, and Kate (Kyle) Baker; and eight great-grandchildren, Dante, Keenan, Amaya, and Talo Floyd, Sarah Floyd, Sean and Mallorie Larson, and Jace Baker. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, M. Eleanor Parker; husband, Francis J. Kucera; brother, Eugene Keating; and cherished friends and family members. A memorial visitation with family receiving friends will be from 4PM until 530 PM, Monday, January 11, 2016, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be directed to the Fremont YMCA. (mosermemorialchapel.com/obituary)
