Description	:	Within three days of the death of his son, Bennett K. Hester, 35, James Abram Hester, 83, of Pisgah, died at the same hospital in Omaha and will be buried in the same lot with the son. Hester, 35, James Abram Hester, 83, of Pisgah, died at the same hospital in Omaha and will be buried in the same lot with the son. The widow and mother, Amanda M. Hester, is left alone in the family home a mile east of Pisgah, Ia. The father, James A. Hester, was taken to Lord Lister hospital in Omaha four weeks ago to undergo an operation. The son visited him on Oct. 24 and was taken ill after returning home. An internal hemorrhage increased the ravages of intestinal influenza and he died Nov. 1 in the Lord Lister hospital, where his father was dying. His father could not be told of his son’s death, and on Monday afternoon he, too, died. Funeral services for the son were held Sunday afternoon at the family residence near Pisgah. Burial was in the family lot at Soldier Valley cemetery. The funeral of the father will be almost an exact duplicate of the son’s and will take place Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at the resident. Burial will be by the side of the son in the family lot. Mr. Hester was born in Indiana in 1846. He located forty-six years ago on the farm a mile east of Pisgah and had resided there ever since. He was retired at the time of his death, the son managing most of the farm work. Surviving are his widow, four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Peterson of Little Sioux, Mrs. Helen Neidermyer of Pisgah, Mrs. Linnie Cox of Pisgah and Mrs. Bessie Nuzum of Little Sioux; three sons. J. M. and C. P. Hester of Pisgah and R. L. Hester of DeSmet, S. D.; seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
