Description	:	Bryson City - James Adrian Medford, 77, of the Deep Creek Community, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, in a Swain County Health Care Facility. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Red and Bertha Weeks Medford. He was retired with 25 years of service with the U.S. Air Force and then worked for the Bryson City Post Office for over 15 years. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Medford. Read More	Bryson City - James Adrian Medford, 77, of the Deep Creek Community, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, in a Swain County Health Care Facility. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Red and Bertha Weeks Medford. He was retired with 25 years of service with the U.S. Air Force and then worked for the Bryson City Post Office for over 15 years. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Medford. He is survived by his wife, Polly Collins Medford; one daughter, Patricia Robichaud and husband, Paul, of Worcester, Mass.; three grandchildren, Jerry, Brandi, Heather; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald Medford and wife, Becky, of Rock Hill, S.C. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Alarka Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Revs. Tim Reeves and Tom Harris will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. Military graveside services will be conducted by Bryson City VFW Post 9281. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Crisp Funeral Home, where the body will remain until placed in the Church 30 minutes prior to the service
