(Shepherd) Hamlin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ James Alexander Hamlin married Matilda Ann Keller October 1, 1884 Yell County, Arkansas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. J. A. Hamlin, aged 82 years, died at his home near Dardanelle, February 27th, 1939, after a short illness. Mr. Hamlin was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., June 26, 1856. He and Miss Matilda Kellar were united in marriage October 1, 1884. To this union eleven children were born, four of whom survive: Marion and Dwain Hamlin, of near Dardanelle; Francis Hamlin, of Vian, Okla., Z. T. Hamlin, of Siloam Springs. He was a successful farmer and stock raiser. He was as honorable man and a useful citizen and his death is deplored by all who knew him. He was a devoted Christian, having professed faith in Christ in 1901. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
