Description	:	James (Jim) was born on November 10, 1922 to William and Katherine (Bridenbach) Gau in rural Geddes, SD. Jim attended country school and St. Ann's School. Jim worked odd jobs and was drafted into the service. He served on the US Naval Ships USS- Tuscana AKN3, USS- Lenawee APA 195 and USS- Montana APA 212. Jim served in the Navy during World War 2 Jim met the love of his life Grace Hosek on November 14, 1950. They lived and worked their entire married life in Geddes, SD. Grace passed away in 2006. James died at the Golden Living Center in Armour at the age of 93. He is survived by sister, Josephine Koleck, Yankton; brother-in-law Tom Beeson, Wagner; Sister-in-law Eileen Hosek, Winner, numerous nieces and nephews.
