Description	:	James B. Faulkner, 67, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Columbus Community Hospital. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 1:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Pastor Dusty Sprague officiating. Interment with military honors by The American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard, will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and continue on Thursday from Noon until service time all at the funeral home. James B. Faulkner, 67, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Columbus Community Hospital. Faulkner, Sr., was born October 1, 1944, in Casper, Wyoming, to Homer and Elsie (Schultz) Faulkner. He attended Columbus Public Schools and on November 22, 1967 entered the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War with the Tropic Lightning Division, 25th Infantry. James was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. He was honorably discharged on July 1, 1969, with the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. While in Vietnam, James received the Purple Heart for action at Cu Chi. On December 24, 1981, James was united in marriage to Sharon Suchan in Columbus. James was a "jack of all trades" having worked for Drummond Construction, Behlen Manufacturing, Appleton Electric, and Soil Movers to name just a few. Throughout the years, James, known as "Jimbo" to many, passed on his knowledge to many people and taught them many different trades. He loved to play pool, and would tell his children of the time that he met Rudolf Walter Wanderone, Jr., better known as "Minnesota Fats", a professional pocket billiards player. A lifelong dream of Jims was to own his own bar and he just recently purchased the "Green Lantern" bar on 26th Ave., and was ready to open "Jimbo's Bar". His children are going to see that their dad's dream comes true.
