Deceased came to the country from Cornwall, England, his birthplace, in 1872, settling first in Vermont and came to Grinnell in 1876, where he lived until 1879 when he came to Gilman where he has ever since resided. He was a man held in the highest esteem wherever known, and his loss will be deeply deplored thuout the community. He leaves a widow, one son, and one daughter to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the Congregational church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. George R. Chambers, and the ceremonies at the cemetery were conducted by the Gilman K. of P. lodge, of which deceased was a member. Added 02 Nov 2017
