Bert Finders, 82, Route 5, long-time Ferguson area resident, died early Friday at the Marshalltown Area Com-munity Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week. He had been hospi-talized intermittently for the past year. Born Dec. 5, 1898, on a farm near Laurel, he was the son of Lloyd and Emma Russell Finders. He received his education in the area of his birth and was graduated from Ferguson High School in 1919. On Oct. 17. 1927, he was married to Beulah Allen who preceded him in death in June, 1973. On Aug. 24, 1978, he was married to Virgia Wallen and they had since made their home at the present address. Also preceding him in death was a brother. Mr. Finders was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Virgin-ia (Mrs. Robert) Cowley, who is a missionary on the Ivory Coast of West Africa; Glenna ( Mrs. Clyde) Speas of Denver, Colo.; a step-daughter Sydney ( Mrs. Carroll) Shepard of Decorah and a step-son, Leroy Wallen. Beaman. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great grand-children, a sister Mrs. Ruth Smith' of Ferguson, four brothers, Alva Finders of Olathe, Kan. ; Lee Finders of Hemet, Calif.., Earl Finders of Shawnee, Kan., and Harold Finders, Waterloo. Services will be at the chapel of Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Glenn Jaspers, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating.
