Description	:	Mr. J.B. Young Jr., 79, of Pleasant View Church Road in Danbury died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Stokes-Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Mr. Young was born April 11, 1921, in Patrick County, Va., the son of the late Branscome and Nancy Gilbert Young. He retired from USDA Soil Conservation Service. He worked in Stokes, Rockingham and Alleghany counties. He was very active in beagling having served as secretary-treasurer of the Carolinas Association of Beagle Clubs from 1968 to 1986 and also as secretary-treasurer of the Rockingham County Beagle Club for almost 30 years. Mr. Young was born April 11, 1921, in Patrick County, Va., the son of the late Branscome and Nancy Gilbert Young. He retired from USDA Soil Conservation Service. He worked in Stokes, Rockingham and Alleghany counties. He was very active in beagling having served as secretary-treasurer of the Carolinas Association of Beagle Clubs from 1968 to 1986 and also as secretary-treasurer of the Rockingham County Beagle Club for almost 30 years. Mr. Young was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lucille Vaden Young; brothers David Ithel Young, Robert Lloyd Young and Terry Davis Young. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Roger Weber of Chesapeake, Va.; a son, James B. (Jay) Young, III of Greensboro; a grandson, Christopher Eric Weber; a daughter-in-law, Anne Young of Greensboro; two sisters, Isabell (Ralph) Dodson and Adelene Shelton, both of Danbury; four brothers, Winfred (Louise) Young of Lawsonville, Curtis (Lena) Young of Stuart, Va., Ray (Joyce) Young of Danbury and Clyde (Jo) Young of Trinity; and a sister-in-law, Minnie R. Young of Walnut Cove. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Milton Gunter and Elder J.H. Keaton will officiate. Burial will be in the North View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to North View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Raymond Young, 1738 Pleasant View Church Road, Danbury, NC 27016.
