"Rusty" Hogue, 71 of Little Rock, died Thursday, June 27, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock. Born Oct. 3, 1924 in Union County, he was the son of Mellie Staggs. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War, serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the military, he worked as a self-employed plumber. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Erma Jane (Goodwin) Hogue, of Little Rock; two sons, Jimmy Hogue of Princeton, TX, and John F. Hogue of Lano, TX; four daughters, Jennifer Hogue of TX, Jennie Lou Wayson of Little Rock, AR, Janie Marie Wayson of Hot Springs, AR, and Letha Ann Gresley of Cleveland Ohio; three brothers, Bobby Davidson of Houston, TX, John H. Davidson of Norphlet, and Fred Davidson of Smackover; four sisters, Elsie Hogue Black of Strong, AR, Betty McCollough of LaRoe, TX, Fave Stapp of Hope, AR, and Rena Cherett of Leesdale, LA; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Roller-Drummond Southwest Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ebenezer Cemetery in Strong, AR, with the Rev. Mike Childers officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas, AR. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at Young's Funeral Home in El Dorado, AR.
