| Description | : | James was born to James Cordon Casson Cahoon and Ellen Spencer Wilson. He had five siblings: Margaret Ellen, Mary Miranda, Eva Edna, George Edward, and Ellen Elizabeth. James married Barbara Dietrich September 20, 1893 in the Manti Temple, Manti, Sanpete, Utah. They had nine children: Spencer, Gerald, Merlin, LeMaughn, Lloyd, Thelma, Annie, Roy and Ellen. He moved with his wife and two young sons to Cardston, Alberta, Canada in August 1896. He built the Cahoon Hotel in Cardston, as well as many other buildings. James died of a heart attack in Cardston, Alberta and is buried there. |
