Description	:	From the The Eldon Advertiser, September 1915: James C. Proctor was born January 5, 1844 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Duncan, Sunday morning, September 12, 1915. He was a faithful member of the M. E. Church, a good husband and loving father. He first became a member of the South Methodist Church at Russellville when he was a young man, afterwards moving his membership to Hickory Hill and later to Mount Carmel. Mr. Proctor has been in poor health for some time, in fact his health has been failing every since the death of his good... Read More	From the The Eldon Advertiser, September 1915: James C. Proctor was born January 5, 1844 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Duncan, Sunday morning, September 12, 1915. He was a faithful member of the M. E. Church, a good husband and loving father. He first became a member of the South Methodist Church at Russellville when he was a young man, afterwards moving his membership to Hickory Hill and later to Mount Carmel. Mr. Proctor has been in poor health for some time, in fact his health has been failing every since the death of his good wife six months ago. Mr. Proctor served in the Civil War Pirate Co. F 9 Reg. Provisional Enrolled Missouri Militia. He leaves four daughters, four sons, five brothers and three sisters to mourn their loss, also a host of friends. Weep not for your loss is the Master's gain. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F. M. Stickney at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Duncan. The remains were taken to Russellville for interment near the grave of Mrs. Proctor who passed away last spring.
