Pallbearers were Rudolph Scheer, Louie Schlote, Herman Schellen, Ed Kremeier, Carl Kumm and William Hinzmann. James C. Jensen was born Dec. 14, 1870 in Moen, Denmark. He came to America in 1888 and worked for a time at St. Paul and at Winnetoon. He was married to Amelia Schonefeldt May 28, 1895 at Bazile Mills. They located on a farm northeast of Winnetoon where they made their home until the time of his death. Mr. Jensen was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Denmark in which faith he remained until his death. His health started to fail in 1940, when he suffered a light stroke but recovered enough to be able to get around fairly well until he became critically ill Feb. 2 and was taken to the Plainview hospital where he remained until his death. Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Irvin of Randolph, Elmer of Norfolk, James L. and Nels of Wausa, Allan and Vernon of Winnetoon and Ralph; four daughters, Mrs. Werner Scheer of Davenport, Ia, Mrs. Carl Nuernberger of Wausa, Mrs. Wm. Nuernberger of Omaha and Mrs. Harald Andersen of Winnetoon; 46 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. ...The Creighton News 8 Feb. 1951 -------------------------
