Description	:	Bayhead - April 29. On Sunday, April 20, this community was saddened to learn of the passing of James Clark ROBERTS at the age of 66 in Fraser Memorial Hospital Tatamagouche. He was the son of the late Thomas and Jessie (McMILLIAN) ROBERTS and was born at Bayhead. Jim as he was more familiarly known was a staunch friend and neighbour. On Sunday, April 20, this community was saddened to learn of the passing of James Clark ROBERTS at the age of 66 in Fraser Memorial Hospital Tatamagouche. He was the son of the late Thomas and Jessie (McMILLIAN) ROBERTS and was born at Bayhead. Jim as he was more familiarly known was a staunch friend and neighbour. He had been in failing health for the past two years, but bore his illness with outstanding patience. He was employed for 30 years as a carpenter in various places. He is survived by his wife who formerly was Jean TATTRIE of French River, two sons Reginald of Bowmonville, Ont., and George at home, and seven grandchildren. Surviving also are two sisters (Mable Jean) Mrs. Harold MacLEAN, Lexington, Mass.; (Jessie) Mrs. William MURRAY, North River; also a brother William ROBERTS, Saskatoon, Sask. He was predeceased by twin sons, three brothers, Benjamin, George, Alexander, and one sister Katherine. The funeral service, which was held in the church on Tuesday April 22 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gilbert TODD officiating, assisted by Rev. Gordon MATHESON. Hymns sung by the choir were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Jesus Keep me Near the Cross" and the solo "How Great Thou Art" was sung by John COULTER. Mrs. J.B. FERGUSON was organist. Pallbearers were Logan COULTER, William MURRAY, Harold MacLEAN, Lloyd S. TATTRIE, Alexander MacEACHERN and William ROBERTS. The floral tributes were many and beautiful showing the esteem in which the deceased was held. There were also donations to the Fraser Memorial Hospital, Cancer Fund, Heart Fund and Monetary Contributions.
