Kinsella Were Held Here Last Friday Forenoon James Clement Kinsella, resident of Denton for the past 32 years, died at St. Joseph's hospital in Lewistown, Tuesday morning, Nov. 20. Funeral services were held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Anthony's Catholic church in Denton with a requiem mass, the Rev. D.E. Paquette officiating. He was born on August 7, 1873, at Dubuque, Iowa, where he received his early schooling, and at 16 years of age he moved with his parents to Kimball, South Dakota, and from there went to Notre Dame University, Indiana, where he played on the football team long before the day of Knute Rockne. On June 16, 1902, he was married to Rose Byrne, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Byrne of Rolfe, Iowa, and to them was born one son who died in infancy. They moved to Seattle where they resided for several years and then came to Denton where Mr. Kinsella was one of the first two buyers for the Gallatin Valley Milling Company when they started their business here in late October, 1913, and they had made their home in this community ever since. he took an active part in building their fine church here. Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Rose Kinsella, two brothers, Roger J. and William J., of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Karley of Madison, S.D., and Mrs. Frances Demarest of Sioux Falls, S.D.; also several nephews and nieces. The pallbearers were Joseph Koch, James Cunningham, Mike Hines, Harley Gill, Chas. Spika, and Frank Kreutzjans. Burial was made in the Denton cemetery.
