Description	:	DEATH OF JAS. D. IRISH The death of James D. Irish occurred at Des Mines [sic-s/b Moines] Thursday last, the 11th inst., and he was buried here Saturday. Mr. Irish was born in Licking county, O., Nov. 10, 1825, being of Hollandish discent [sic]. He was united in marriage to Miss Orlena J. Antrim in 1849, and they moved to Keosauqua in 1853. Mrs. Irish died in 1859, and Mr. Irish married Miss Cecilia Dahlberg, a sister of Mr. Dahlberg of Pittsburg. He leaves a widow and six sons and two daughters, Walter, Curtis, Sherman, and Chas reside at Des Moines, S. E. at this place, Alonzo in New Mexico, and Mrs. J. S. Shepherd at Mt. Ayr and Mrs. Houghteling in Montana. All were present at the burial except Alonzo and the daughter in Montana. Mr. Harry Johnson of Des Moines was the undertaker and accompanied the remains to this placce [sic]. Mr. Irish was an active, energetic, brainy man and a good citizen.
