Description	:	James “Jim” D. Griffith, age 68, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the hospital in Watertown. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Rev. Christina Matson will officiate. Music will be provided by Josh Bawek as soloist. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Tuesday by 1:00 p.m. for a prayer service. Military graveside honors will be conducted by Frank H. Adams Post #750 of Veterans of Foreign Wars of Watertown, and the Ellsworth Air Force Base of Piedmont, SD. Active pallbearers will be Chad Ridgway, Damon Griffith, Tylor Griffith, Brenton Griffith, and Eric Negaard. Jim was born on December 10, 1946, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Leslie and Olga (Ladwig) Griffith. He graduated from the Bryant High School in 1964. He then joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. Jim then returned to the Bryant area, and later moved to Sioux Falls and worked for Iseman Homes, and drove for Pam Oil. He moved back to the Bryant area and started working for Smith Equipment. Jim later moved to Watertown and continued working at Smith Equipment until retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Frank H. Adams Post #750 of Veterans of Foreign Wars of Watertown. Jim enjoyed being with family and spending time with them. He loved telling jokes, doing word searches, and spending time with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter Ashley Ridgway.
