Description	:	Researched and compiled by the Kartchner Brothers James E Bell, 54, Dies Here Today James E Bell, after being in ill health for several years, died this morning at his home in Morningside addition. Mr Bell was born Jan 21, 1883, in Audubon County, Ia and moved with his parents in 1888 to Nebraska. Read More	Researched and compiled by the Kartchner Brothers James E Bell, 54, Dies Here Today James E Bell, after being in ill health for several years, died this morning at his home in Morningside addition. Mr Bell was born Jan 21, 1883, in Audubon County, Ia and moved with his parents in 1888 to Nebraska. He married to Miss Emma Peck at Ord, Neb, Feb 1, 1907, and soon afterwards they moved to Huron which has since been their home. Eight children were born to them, one of whom preceded him in death. All of the children were present with the exception of two, who were unable to come. Surviving are there sisters, Mrs Mary Cronin of Ralston, Neb.; Mrs Axel Hansen of Ericson, Neb.; and Mrs Morten Micholak of Ord, Neb.; three brothers, Fred Bell of Long Beach, Cal.; Will Bell of Cambridge, Ia.; and George Bell of Alliance, Neb. The children are George, Tom, Albert, Julia, all at home. James of Miami, Fl;, Mrs Lottie Buzeyn of Iroquois and Sam of Forest City, Ia. The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Welter's Chapel. Dr C.E. Wilcox of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery. Evening Huronite, April 20, 1937 Notes: In 1929, James E and his second son, James M, were convicted of grand larceny and were sentenced to four year terms at the South Dakota prison at Sioux Falls. Both and his eldest son, George F. (He was there for a different crime) can be found listed as inmates in on the 1930 census.
