Read More	Harlan Tribune Harlan, Iowa Tuesday, July 6, 1988 page 2B Pete Murray, 81 HARLAN - James Earl “Pete” Murray, son of James Jay and Dora (Martindale) Murray was born at Audubon on March 14,1907. At the age of five years, he moved with his family to Shelby county, where he attended country school and Irwin High School. He helped his father on the family farm and also worked for area farmers. He worked for many years as a house mover. On Dec. 5, 1947, he married Vaunda "Bonnie" Hulsebus in Omaha, NE. One daughter was born to this union. After he retired in 1972 fram moving houses, he worked part time for several years for National By Products and also helped on the LaVern Koppold farm. After the death of his wife in Oct. of 1987, he made his home with his daughter, Patricia in Harlan. He died at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan on June 13, 1988 at age 81 years, two months and 29 days. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers. William, Dale and Donald. Surviving him are his daughter, Patricia of Harlan; four step-daughters, ST. Janice Rosman of Dubuque; Norma Jean Kroman of Scottsdale, AZ; Joyce Gerhart of Des Moines and Maxine McCauley of Sioux City; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Velma Newell of Irwin; Mable Hulsebus of Omaha, NE and Sena Drobaz of Capistrano, CA and one sister-in-law, Edith Murray of Harlan; many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services were June 17, 1988 at Pauley Funeral Home with Pastor Paul R. Olsen and Pastor Otto A. Zwanziger of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan officiating. Burial was in Harlan cemetery with Jim Sander, Keith More, Walter Murray, Larry Hulsebus, LaVem Koppold and Kenneth Hulsebus as casket bearers. Transcribed by 83GravestonePhotographer (#48653602)
