Description	:	James E. Epperly, 95, of Vineland died Saturday in the Nursing Center at Vineland. He had been in failing health. Born and raised in Floyd, Va., a suburb of Roanoke, he moved to New Jersey in 1927. He lived in White House Station for 40 years before moving to Vineland in 1989. Mr. Epperly worked as a freight conductor with the Jersey Central railroad for 42 years. He was a member of the Christ Community Church in Newfield. He was predeceased by a son, James P. in 1963, and a daughter, Katherine, in 1950 Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margaret Frieda (Ritter); a son, Willie of Clinton; two daughters, Elizabeth Sparling of Vineland and Irene Bushell of Clifton; three brothers, Harley and Herbert, both of Floyd, Va., and Willard of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Lucille Shelor of Roanoke, Va.,, and Madie Austin of Pilot, Va.; and a grandchild. The funeral is 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial is 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Rural Hill Cemetery, White House Station.
