Survivors include his wife, Ethel Adams Chapman; a son, Bruce Chapman and Tammy Miller of Kannapolis, NC; a granddaughter, Hannah Nichole Miller; a grandson, Patric Hollar; two sisters, Sara Chapman Ramsey of Boiling Springs, SC, and Ruth Chapman Hayes of Spartanburg; four brothers, Marvin Chapman and Henry Chapman of Spartanburg, Ned Chapman of Enoree, SC, and Vance Chapman of Gaffney, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Annie Chapman Johnson; and two brothers, B. F. Chapman and Rufus Chapman. Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, all memorials could be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive. Cincinnati, OH 45246.
