Description	:	JAMES EDWARD STUMP, 81, of Staffordsville, VA, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born September 8, 1935 at Kimbalton, VA, the son of the late Zannie L. & Agnes Frye Stump. He loved to work and to mow grass. He was a master tinkerer and was known to often say, “I have something down in the bottom to fit it”. He was a beloved daddy and papaw and will be greatly missed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Palmer Stump and his brother, Henry James Stump. Left to cherish his memory are his sons... Read More	JAMES EDWARD STUMP, 81, of Staffordsville, VA, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born September 8, 1935 at Kimbalton, VA, the son of the late Zannie L. & Agnes Frye Stump. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Palmer Stump and his brother, Henry James Stump. Left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughter-in-law, Dale “Butch” Stump, Sr. and Robert & Deborah Stump; his daughter & son-in-law, Delores & Charlie Mullins; his grandchildren, Dawn, Dale, Jr., David, Michelle, Patrick, Nicole and Ben; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Michelle Stump; special friend, Leon Dalton and numerous nieces and nephews, too many to list. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Pastor Shaun Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time, 3:00 P.M.
