Mr. Waters was a member of Second Baptist Church of Jacksonville and was ordained as a deacon in 1952. He was an Army veteran, honorably discharged at the conclusion of World War II from Company D, 5th Medical Battalion. He attended junior college in Little Rock, now UALR, and retired from Sears in 1983 after working as a salesman for 32 years at the Seventh and Main, University and McCain malls locations. Funeral services were at Second Baptist Church. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery in Strong. Arrangements were by the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Jonesboro Sun obits. January 26, 2015
