Description	:	James Elwood "Jim" Lingren, of Albion, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center, Albion, Nebraska. Jim, son of Clarence and Hildur (Wangstrom) Lingren, was born June 1, 1925 at Creighton, Nebraska. Jim attended school at Creighton, Nebraska rural and public schools for nine years and finished his education at Wausa (NE.) High School. Read More	James Elwood "Jim" Lingren, of Albion, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center, Albion, Nebraska. Jim, son of Clarence and Hildur (Wangstrom) Lingren, was born June 1, 1925 at Creighton, Nebraska. Jim attended school at Creighton, Nebraska rural and public schools for nine years and finished his education at Wausa (NE.) High School. He entered the United States Army on February 19, 1945, served in the southwest Pacific and Phillipines and was honorably discharged on December 1, 1946. Jim was united in marriage to Mardell Wrick at Golgatha Lutheran Church in Wausa, Nebraska. The couple lived and farmed in the Wausa, Nebraska area for several years before Jim took a job with Moorman Feed Company in Blair, Nebraska and Fremont, Nebraska in 1960. In 1964, they moved to Albion, Nebraska where Jim served as the district manager for Moorman Feed. He later took a job with the COOP in Albion, Nebraska in the feed department, before retiring in 1990. His wife, Mardell Lingren, passed away in 1993. On November 27, 1999, Jim married Dolores Leifeld at St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg, Nebraska and the couple made their home in Albion, Nebraska. In 2010, the couple entered Samaritan Estates Assisted Living in Albion, Nebraska and later Jim entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center. Jim was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, Nebraska since 1965 where he served on the Church Council, Treasure of the Endowment Fund and served as a past president of Lutheran Brotherhood. He was a member of the Rose Hill Cemetery Association, Albion, Nebraska serving as president for several years, a Charter member of the Boone County (NE.) Fitness Center; a member of the Albion (NE.) Country Club participating in Men's Golf League for many years, and was a lifetime member of the Albion (NE.) American Legion Post #162 and V.F.W. Post 736. Jim is survived by: wife, Dolores Lingren of Albion, Nebraska; daughter, Debra (Dennis) Barbello of Monument, Colorado; son, Kevin Lingren of Malvern, Iowa; grandchildren: Kelly Barbello of Denver, Colorado; Mike (Julie) Barbello of Seattle, Washington; sister Joy Lagerberg of Denver, Colorrado; step-children: Kerry (Linda) Leifeld of Peoria, ILllinois, Deanna Bogart of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Deb (Keith) Habrock of Norfolk, Nebraska; sister, Denette Leifeld of Yankton, Nebraska; Kevin (Janelle) Leifeld of Tuscon, Arizona; step-grandchildren: Shane (Rebecca) Leifeld, Trevor Leifeld, Jared Leifeld, Katherine Lennon, Lee (Lauren) Bogart, Beth (David) Garcia, Jeremy Habrock, Hilary (Rocky) Claussen, Tonya (Petter) Maas, Tyler Habrock, Nate Leifeld, Lucus Leifeld, Isaac Leifeld, step-great-grandchildren: Reese, Connor, Charlie, Mason and Aubrey and a host of relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by: parents, wife Mardell Lingren and step-son-in-law, Jim Bogart. Interment was in The Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, Nebraska.
