Read More	James Everett Boliver 1953 Bridgewater Bulletin (From the collection of Paul Harmon) Friends and relatives of the late James Everett Boliver were shocked to learn of his sudden passing at the Digby General Hospital on February 8th., after being a patient for only one week. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Camperdown. He had been working at mining from a young boy. He moved to Little River 25 years ago where he was working in a powder mine. He leaves to mourn a sorrowing wife, the former Claribel Meisner; four children by the former wife, Forrest, Norma, and twins, Margaret and Marjorie, all at home. There also survive two children of a former marriage to the late Millie Naugler of Camperdown, Lillian, Mrs. James Stewart of Hebb's Cross; Carmon of Little River; also surviving are a brother, Edwin Boliver of Florida; a sister, Emma, Mrs. Nelson Wamback of Bridgewater; two half-brothers, Emmanuel and Thomas of Conquerall Mills. A brother, John, gave his life at Vimy Ridge in World War I; two half-brothers, Howard and Demas also pred-deceased him. The funeral service was held in the Lutheran Church in Conquerall Mills, Rev. C.H. Whitteker officiating. Hymns sung were, "Asleep in Jesus," "Rock of Ages," and " Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The pall bearers were Ezra Boliver, Edson Hebb, Clarence Edwards, Wallace Sarty, Stanford Himmelman, and George McCarthy. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse. Chronicle Herald 8 February 1953 James Everett Bolivar Bridgewater - There passed away on Sunday morning, at the Digby Genreal Hospital, James Everett Bolivar, of Little River, Digby Co., formerly of Hebb's Cross, Lunenburg County. He was the son of the late James Benjamin and Jane Ellen Bolivar of Hebb's Cross. He is surved by his widow the former Claribel Meisner of Lake Centre, Lunenburg Co., and by four children residing at Little River. There also survive two children of a former marriage to the late Millie Naugler, of Camperdown, Lillian (Mrs. James Stewart) of Hebb's Cross and Carmen of Little River. Also surviving are a brother, Edwin Bolivar of Florida, and a sister Emma (Mrs. Wamback), Bridgewater, and two half-brothers, Emmanuel and Thomas of Conquerall Mills. A brother John gave his life at Vimy Ridge in World War I and two half-brothers Howard and Demas, also predeceased him. A short funeral service will be held at Little River at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10th. The remains will be brought to Bridgewater and will rest at Wamback's Funeral Home from noon Wednesday to noon on Thursday. A service will be held at the Lutheran Church at Conquerall Mills, on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with interment in the cemetery there. Dr. C.H. Whitteker will officiate.
