Adams, Sr., banker whose death occurred at his home here Wednesday as the result of a heart attack. The services were in charge of the Rev. T. Richardson Gray. Mr. Adams had held both town and township offices and was keenly interested in politics. He was for more than ten years president of the Farmers Savings Bank of Edgewood. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, the Knights of Pythias, and Order of Eastern Star. Born near Black River Falls, Wis., June 13 1859, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Adams. When he was a small child, the family moved to Youngstown, Ohio, where he remained until he was 17 years old. The rest of his life was spent in Iowa. On March 14, 1881, he was married to Miss Julia Warren and to them the following children were born: Mrs. Ollie Ash, Wood Center; William Adams, Colesburg; Mrs. Nellie Sherman, Edgewood; Mrs. Edith Ashline, Manchester, and James F. of Edgewood. A daughter died in infancy and his wife in 1916. In 1920 Mr. Adams was married to Mrs. Lucy Wait, by whom he is survived.
