Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., June 23, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette with Father Karl Millis officiating. Military hon ors will be provided by VFW Post No. 42. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., June 26, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney, Neb., with Father Jim Novakowski of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Sidney officiating. He graduated from Crook High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Army in 1952, serving in the 501st Paratrooper Corps during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1954. He then joined his father on the family farm. He married Mary Grace Heeg on June 9, 1956.He later worked for the National Tank Company in Gillette, and left to open Specialized Services, which he operated until his retirement.Survivors include his wife; sons Jim, Billings, Mont.; Jon, Lakeville, Minn.; Robin, Schertz, Texas; and Rich, Cedar Park, Texas; daughter Mary Sue Spade of Gillette; brothers and sisters Kate Kalinowski, Mollie Sanger and Pete Lauer, all of Sterling; Mary Mollendor, Pat Abts and John Lauer, all of Ovid; Dot Stang, Hays Center, Neb.; Larry Lauer, Iliff; Dick Lauer, Merino; Dolly Huss, Crook; Peggy Herschfeldt, Holyoke; Albert Lauer, Greeley; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter Molly. A memorial has been established in Mr. Lauer's name and donations may be sent to the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. Filth St., Gillette, Wyo.,
