He was a life-long resident of Macon County, the son of the late Leslie J. and Ruby Henry Young. He was US Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 25 years. Jim was a member of Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. He was a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 25 years. Jim was a member of Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he loved to travel. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, a son, two daughters, a brother, grandsons, great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Darrell Young. Funeral services will held Tuesday, September 9 at 2:00PM at Ellijay Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bud Haire and Rev.
