Description	:	Jim Pippin came to Texas at age 17 (1909) and lived with Harriet and William Henry Lansford. His daughter Lois referred to them as "Granny" and "Grandpap" although later she listed them as his maternal aunt and uncle. Harriet Lansford was actually a Pippin, an older sister of Papa's father Kinch. Jim's mother had died when he was age 14, his father had died even earlier. Simmons, Minister of the Gospel, on 23 Aug 1914. They had four children: Lois Geneva, b. 29 Sep 1915 Edith Juanita, b. 14 Jul 1919 Virginia Louise, b. 22 May 1922 James Frank Jr., b. 5 May 1928 The Pippins farmed near Ladonia most of their lives, but moved in their later years to live beside daughter Jaunita and her husband Jack Deatherage, just outsie Terrell, Texas. Their children and grandchildren all called them "Little Papa" and "Little Mama". Little Mama used to bake both cornbread and biscuits every single day - she liked one, Little Papa liked the other.
