Cleary was brought to Albion for burial, and the funeral services were held at the Catholic church the next morning. Mr. Cleary died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Poppie, at South Omaha, after a year's illness of cancer of the stomach. He was 77 years of age. Mr. Cleary was formerly a resident of Albion and while here his wife died and was buried here. About seventeen years ago he left Albion, and has since lived at different places with some of his children. The body was accompanied by two daughters, Mrs. Poppie, of South Omaha, and Mrs. King, of Newman Grove, with their husbands, and a son, James Cleary, of Pueblo, Colo. ___ Card of Thanks. Mr. Cleary Dead – Word was received in Fremont today that James F. Cleary, a former resident of Fremont, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Poppe at South Omaha, Tuesday morning. Mr. Cleary left here several months ago to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Poppe and Mr. Poppe. For several years he was a familiar figure in Fremont. His son, James, of Pueblo, Colo., was present at the end and will accompany the body to Albion, Wednesday evening, where the funeral will be held Thursday morning. Mr. Cleary was a native of Ireland and was 70 years of age.
