Lounsberry, pioneer farmer and stockman of the Colo neighborhood, he was born there 54 years ago and was raised in that neighborhood. He was married to Lydia Ann Shaffer at Nevada in December, 1901, and the wife and three sons survive him. The sons are Frank Lounsberry of Nevada, now County Attorney, Charles Lounsberry of Brooklyn, Iowa and Wayne, age 10, at home. He also leaves his father, John H. Lounsberry, who makes his home with the son, Lloyd at Colo, and brothers John D., at Colo, Forrest at McCallsburg, and Lloy at Colo. One sister, Mamie, died many years ago at the age of 18, while the brother Frank and his mother were killed in a crossing accident in Colo thirty-three years ago. The deceased had lived southwest of Nevada in Nevada township for many years where he was recognized as a substantial farmer and splendid citizen.
