Description	:	Our father James "Old Trapper" Hagen, passed away June 24, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Harrison. Dad had stoically struggled with several health issues over the years and is now at peace. He was born to Jacob and Gyda Hagen on March 8, 1926, in Donalda, Alberta. He later became a citizen of the United States and joined the U.S. Army in 1945. He was honorably discharged in 1947, and shortly thereafter, met and married Chloreen Baird. They settled in Great Falls and together they had six children. In 1982, he moved to Helena and bought Old Trapper Taxi Service. Many Helenans' will remember him as "Old Trapper." He was always happiest behind the wheel of a cab interacting with the public and fellow cabbies. He retired in 1999, with many fond memories. He is survived by his children, Linda (Dave) Bunker of Tennessee, Debbie (Dick) Olson of Great Falls, Ted (Terry) Hagen of Colorado, Trudi (Dennis) Hovden of Townsend, and Kristy Hagen of Colorado. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren spread from Montana to Tennessee. He is also survived by a brother, Don (Rita) of Kalispell. He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Hagen, and a close companion, Barb Smith. We will miss you no. 9! Graveside services will be held, at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison.
