He was married to Marilyn Viergutz on May 7, 1976, at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk. They lived in Norfolk. Jim worked as a painter. They moved to Lincoln in 1990. Jim worked at the University of Nebraska campus as a groundskeeper. They moved back to Norfolk in 1999. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Survivors include wife Marilyn Ausdemore of Norfolk; children Rebecca Seeber and fiance Ben Burtle of Winter Haven, Fla., Jamie and husband Matthew Gray of Lincoln, Michael and wife Tia Ausdemore of Lincoln; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Arvis Porath of Norfolk, Mavis and husband John Janecke of Wonder Lake, Ill., Lee and husband John Obermeyer of Hoskins, Barbara Lange of Crofton; brother-in-law Duane Chamberlin of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marty Chamberlin; two brothers-in-law, Victor Porath and Kevin Lange. Casket bearers are Jason Chamberlin, Jeremy Obermeyer, Rod Jonson, Tim Lange, Nathaniel Gray, Kalin Seeber. married 1st, November 10, 1963, Rebecca J. Boschult, 5 children born to this couple. Divorced in 1970.
