Neal died at his home near Maxwelton, Monday afternoon, Jan 15, 1912, aged about 64 years. His health, both body and mind, had been feeble for some years prior to his death. He was a son of the late Felix Neal, married Miss Susan Woodward, of the Frankford community, who with five children, Mrs Ed Lynch, of Lewisburg; Mrs Calvin Johnston, of this county; John and Charles, in the West, and Jay at home, survives him. Mr Neal served as a Confederate soldier in the 14th Virginia Regiment of Cavalry, and was an exemplary man in all the relations of life and respected by all who knew him. He also leaves one brother, William Neal, of the Maxwelton neighborhood.
