Streeter, son of Edwin and Sarah Streeter, was born in Clear Creek township, Jasper county, Iowa on February 18th, 1869. On February 5th, 1905 he was united in marriage to Melissa B. Stock at Mingo and to this union four children were born. The couple lived most of their married life in Iowa with the exception of 16 years spent near Wheatland, Oklahoma. For the past 12 years they have resided in State Center. In early boyhood Mr. Streeter united with the Methodist church and was a faithful member as long as his health permitted. He attended the Hazel Dell Normal College at Newton, Iowa. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Joseph and Homer of State Center and Thurman of Kellogg. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Winifred Hussey of Portland, Oregon. A daughter died in infancy. Contributor: Dennis Bell
