Beaver, 29, Crown City Route 2, became Gallia County's fourth traffic fatality in 1970 when he died early Wednesday at Holzer Medical Center of injuries suffered in a one car accident near Mercerville. Dr. Donald R. Warehime, Gallia County coroner, said Beaver's death was due to internal hemorrhaging as result of a massive chest injury and other multiple internal injuries. Dr. Donald R. Warehime, Gallia County coroner, said Beaver's death was due to internal hemorrhaging as result of a massive chest injury and other multiple internal injuries. He died about two hours after being taken to the hospital. The accident, according to the State Highway Patrol, occurred at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday on Route 218, south of the junction of Route 790. Officers said Beaver's car went off the left side of the highway and struck a tree. The 1964 Ford was demolished. Born in Gallia County, son of Bay and Grace Shafer Beaver, Crown City Route 2, he was an employee of the Working Man's Friend Service Station on Eastern Ave. in Gallipolis. He attended Victory Baptist Church. Other survivors include three children, Rebecca, Teresa and James Howard, all of Gallipolis; two brothers, Lawrence of Columbus and Ode of Crown City; and three sisters, Mrs. Wanda Caldwell, Crown City, Mrs. Betty Tobias and Mrs. Violet Mooney, both of Columbus. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl V. Cremeens and the Rev. Alfred Holley will officiate. Burial will be in Victory Church Cemetery.
