He received an academic education in Ohio, and afterward engaged in farming and stock-raising. He now owns 640 acres in this township, with good house, barn and other improvements; he usually keeps seventy-five head of cattle. His wife was Mary Andrew, a native of Butler County, born in 1848, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Neyhard) Andrew.
