He was married to Lillian Rankin June 18, 1930, at Columbus. Mr. Jeffryes resided on the Welin farm north of Genoa for 43 years, moving to Columbus about a year ago. A farmer, he had also served as a justice of the peace and on road and school boards. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; three sons, James A. of Honolulu, Hawaii, Robert L. of Denver and Dan of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. William G. Van Pelt of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Gordon Demarest of Kremmling, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; brother, Ervin Westmore of St. Edward; and sister, Daisy Jones of Columbus.
