Jim grew up in the Minden, Nebraska area and graduated from Minden (NE.) High School in 1966. On December 27, 1971 he married Pat Hamous. They made their home in Minden, Nebraska. Jim worked for his father at Miller the Driller and later he and his brothers took over the business. He worked there until his retirement in September, 2013. Jim was born on July 7, 1948 in Minden, Nebraska to George and Erma (White) Miller. Jim grew up in the Minden, Nebraska area and graduated from Minden (NE.) High School in 1966. On December 27, 1971 he married Pat Hamous. They made their home in Minden, Nebraska. Jim worked for his father at Miller the Driller and later he and his brothers took over the business. He worked there until his retirement in September, 2013. Jim enjoyed watching sporting events and liked to fish. He especially enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in their activities. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, Minden, Nebraska and the Knights of Columbus. He was a past member of the Minden (NE.) Lions Club. Survivors are: wife, Pat Miller of Minden, Nebraska; daughter, Bridget Miller of Stillwater, Oklahoma; son, Ben Miller and wife, Mandy of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Breanna and Brooke; brother, Jon Miller of Minden, Nebraska; sisters, Sally Pittner and husband, Willie of Minden, Nebraska, Susan Lempka and husband, Harold of Minden, Nebraska, Francie Buescher and husband, Mike of Lawrence, Nebraska, Rebecca Miller and husband, Chuck Jacobsen of Minden, Nebraska, Anne Dorn and husband, Jon of Minden, Nebraska and Laura Martinez and husband, George of Minden, Nebraska; sisters in-law, Kathleen Miller and Deb Miller both of Minden, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by: son, William Miller; parents; and brothers, Ted and Randy Miller. Funeral services was Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church, Minden, Nebraska with Father James Benton officiating. Burial was in Minden Cemetery, Minden, Nebraska.
