Description	:	James L. Younker, Jr., 64, of Hagerstown, Md., died Monday, January 22, 2007 at his home. Born October 18, 1942 in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late James L. Younker, Sr. and Lucy C. Schmidt Younker. He was a 1960 graduate of Hancock High School. He retired January 1, 2007 as a machinist from Mack Truck, Hagerstown. He was former Chief of the Hancock Volunteer Fire Company and former Chief of the Hancock Rescue Squad. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Born October 18, 1942 in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late James L. Younker, Sr. and Lucy C. Schmidt Younker. He was a 1960 graduate of Hancock High School. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Bishop Younker who he married September 24, 1998; three daughters, Teresa Franklin, Thurmont, Md., Laurie Arnold, Myersville, Md. and Angela Bishop, Warfordsburg, Pa.; two sons, Timothy Younker, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Lynn Younker, Falling Waters, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Julie Kerns, Hancock; two stepsons, Ronnie Myers and Derrick Myers, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Rosalee Light, Hagerstown; eight grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Repp and Naomi Younker. A service will be held today, Wednesday, January 24 at 2 p.m. at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
