Description	:	James Lee "Jim" Mrsny, of rural Norfolk, Nebraska Jim died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Stanton (NE.) Health Center following his battle with pancreatic cancer. Jim was born on Feb. 28, 1946, in Norfolk, Nebraska the son of Darwin and Ruby (Sporn) Mrsny. Jim was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm southeast of Norfolk, Nebraska in Stanton County, Nebraska. Jim attended Stanton (NE.) County District 21 School before graduating from Norfolk (NE.) Jim was born on Feb. 28, 1946, in Norfolk, Nebraska the son of Darwin and Ruby (Sporn) Mrsny. Jim was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm southeast of Norfolk, Nebraska in Stanton County, Nebraska. Jim attended Stanton (NE.) County District 21 School before graduating from Norfolk (NE.) Senior High School in 1964. He served in the Nebraska National Guard in Norfolk, Nebraska. Jim was employed at Paul's APCO in Norfolk, Nebraska as a manager before working as a supervisor at Timpte Trailers in Wayne, Nebraska. Later, he drove taxi for Checker Cab Company in Norfolk, Nebraska. All the while, Jim owned and operated the family farm.He loved farming, gardening, horse racing and especially being with his friends that he loved. He told his brother, Randy that he was fortunate to have been blessed with the life he had. His request was for everyone not to be sad but to celebrate the good times that was had by all. Jim had a great appreciation for the many things his family and friends had done for him. Jim is survived by: brothers and sisters, Larry and Georgiana Mrsny, of Norfolk, Nebraska, Randy Mrsny, of Douglas, Wyoming, Linda and John Thomson, of Gretna, Nebraska, Rhonda Senff, of Dodge, Nebraska and Shawn Mrsny, of Lincoln, Nebraska and a host of relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by: parents and brother Tom Mrnsy. Burial was in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Norfolk, NE.
