James was sibling to; Lulu, Emma, Lawrence Everett, Lelah Amanda, Willian Lemlie, Laura Cleo and Anna Alberta Webster. * * * * * * * * Edited obit; James Leonard "Dick" Webster, son of George Clayton and Allie Anice Finckbone Webster, was born Jan. 24,1932, on the family farm at Garden Grove and died Dec 23, 1996, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines. He was 64. He attended Welcome Country School south of Leon Mr. Webster worked as a machinist for International Harvester in Rock Island, 111. for 31 years He retired in 1981 and moved to Osceola. Mr. Webster served his country in the U.S Army and was in Korea for two years during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He and his brother Buck had many good times camping at Rathbun Lake. "Dick" was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Lulu Vanderflute and Letha Jones. Mr. Webster is survived by two daughters, Carol Marie Larsen and Dawn/Denise Gudrno, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers; Lawrence "Buck" Webster and his wife, Kathryn and Bill Webster and his wife, Mildred, three sisters; Lelah Amick and her husband, John, Cleo Collins and her husband Edward and Anna Wall, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Services for Mr Webster were at Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, the Rev Max Carmichael officiating. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery.
