Description	:	James Levern "Jim" Wells, 72, of Albion, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 29, 1944 in Tilden, Nebraska, the son of Levern and Leona (Schwager) Wells. Jim was baptized and confirmed in the United Church of Christ in Neligh, Nevraska, attended rural school through the eighth grade, and graduated from Neligh High School in 1962. Read More	James Levern "Jim" Wells, 72, of Albion, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 29, 1944 in Tilden, Nebraska, the son of Levern and Leona (Schwager) Wells. Jim was baptized and confirmed in the United Church of Christ in Neligh, Nevraska, attended rural school through the eighth grade, and graduated from Neligh High School in 1962. He attended Wayne State College and graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy in 1968. On April 13, 1968, Jim married Candice Kirschmer at the United Church of Christ in Neligh. They lived in Omaha, Nebraska, until December 1969 when they made their home in Albion, where they owned and operated Wells Drug and Hallmark. Jim was a member of the Lions Club and the Nebraska Pharmacy Board, along with being a deacon of the United Church of Christ. He was a member and past president of the Albion Chamber of Commerce, Albion Country Club and served on the Board of Directors at Boone County Bank. Jim was a loving husband and father who always put his family first. He had a passion for Husker football, golf and horse racing; sharing his name with the horse “No Wine For Wellse”. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching them participate in sports. He is survived by: his wife Candice; children, Tim Wells (fiancé Cathy Connot), Mark Wells, Callie (Joel) Vavra and Michael (Mary) Wells; eight grandchildren, Mason and Hannah Wells, Jaxson, Parker, Alex and Keenan Vavra, Lyla and Wyatt Wells; brother: Richard (Sharalyn) Wells; sister, Rebecca (Darrell) Pritchard; brothers-in-law: Larry (Alexis) Kirschmer and Wayne Herley; sister-in-law: Theresa Schwager; six nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; along with many cousins, other relatives and many friends. Jim was preceded in death by: his parents, Levern and Leona; in-laws Herb and Delores Kirschmer; brother, Dwaine Schwager; nephew, Colin Kirschmer and sister-in-law, Kathy Herley. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 23, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. Interment at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard, Nebraska.
