The son of Malvern and Julia Louise Brown, he was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Spokane. He and MADONNA A. BROWN were married in 1938. Mr. Brown worked for many years in the insurance industry in Vancouver where he and his wife raised their family. BROWN Dec. 18, 2009 - Feb. 12, 2009 RENTON - James Lincoln Brown, 95, of Seattle, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, in Renton. The son of Malvern and Julia Louise Brown, he was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Spokane. He and MADONNA A. BROWN were married in 1938. Mr. Brown worked for many years in the insurance industry in Vancouver where he and his wife raised their family. Upon retirement the couple moved to the Peninsula in 1973 and made their home here until 1999 when he moved to Seattle to be closer to family. He served as the exalted ruler of the BPOE Elks Lodge and was president of the Lions Club in Vancouver. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Flora Brown; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Michael Lamb; a sister, Marjorie of Cashmere; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. His wife, Madonna, who died in 2007, and two grandsons, Travis Spring and Bryan Brown preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Columbia Funeral Home, 4567 Rainier Avenue South in Seattle. Graveside service is at noon on Dec. 26 at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver. Arrangements are in care of Columbia Funeral Home, Seattle. Published in Chinook Observer
