Mr. Bird is survived by his widow Mrs. Mazie Rexrode Bird; one son Julian Francis Bird of Williamsburg; a sister Mrs. Sullie Rexrode of Valley Center. He also leaves two nieces and six nephews. Highland Recorder May 31, 1956 Mrs. Queen Arbogast Gillespie died May 19 at her home in Brevard, N.C. She was formerly married to the late J. L Bird of Mill Gap, who died in 1955. Mrs. Gillespie was a native of Pocahontas County, W. Va. and is survived by a son, Julian Bird of Williamsburg, Va. Funeral services and interment were at Brevard. Highland Recorder November 13, 1931 J. Luther Bird and Miss Maysie Rexrode were married Nov. 4th. Rev. C. A. Munsey officiating. They have the best wishes of their friends. *BIRD—REXRODE A marriage of unusual interest in this and adjoining counties took place last Tuesday; when Miss Maysie Rexrode of Valley Center was united in marriage to Mr. J. Luther Bird. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. A. Munsey at the parsonage at Mill Gap and witnessed by only a few immediate friends. The bride is an attractive young lady, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rexrode; while the groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bird of the same community. He has been visiting his brother, Mr. W. N. Bird near Monterey recently. Both parties have a host of friends, who extend congratulations and good wishes.
