Description	:	James L. McFarland James M. McFarland, aged 86 years, died at his home in Colville on Tuesday at 4 pm. He had been in declining health for some time, and was bedfast only a week. He was born of Scotch parentage in Nashville, Tennessee, and came to this state seven years ago. having lived at Davenport and Coeur d'Alene before taking up residence on a ranch a mile east of town three years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church, of which organization he was a member. Mr. McFarland was a man of sterling integrity and regular habits. He had traveled extensively and ever possessed good health, having made his own garden up to last fall. Wherever he was known he possessed warm friendships. He was a great admirer of the state of Washington and often expressed his regret that he had not come here sooner.
